When you are surrounded by two amazing people, it's hard not to capture their true love and have a blast while doing it!

We met at Roger Williams Park in Providence, RI for their engagement photos! We roamed through the gardens and trees and cased the gorgeous sunlight! Their laughter is completely genuine and the moments captured were raw and perfect. Engagement sessions can feel awkward at first, because this may be your first real professional photoshoot. But they are the best icebreaker before your wedding. And we get to spend a little more time getting to know each other. 

Their woodsy engagement photos are a perfect compilation of their love and true laughter.

Their wedding will be located in Massachusetts, so it is also nice they were able to get something a little different when picking and engagement shoot location.

Surprise Proposal | Fairhaven MA | Cody & Veronica

Cody has been planning this day for months! And when the venue he originally picked had a little hick-up, he called Veronica's best friends and sister and comprised a new plan within hours! 

He took her for a bike ride down the beautiful bike path in Fairhaven. Meanwhile her best friends and sister set up the dogs along the bike path with a sign asking "Will you marry our daddy?" (seriously so stinking cute!) And when she turned the corner of the path everyone was waiting!! Veronica still in shock, said "YES" as Cody went down on one knee!!

And if that all wasn't cute enough for you all, Cody and her friends had a change of clothes, makeup, body spray and everything waiting for her! Then she made a quick change and we did a impromptu photoshoot!! So perfect!

Tory & Caitlin | Ice Castle Engagement Session | Lincoln, NH

I thought it would be appropriate to post Tory and Caitlin's engagement session on the blog today while I am packing for their wedding this weekend! Check back for sneak previews!!

Tory and Caitlin were not looking to do ordinary engagement photos, but when I mentioned NH's Ice Castles, they decided to give it a try! On a Saturday, in between the snow and the rain, we were able to squeeze in this amazing day! We even got a few at Echo Lake at the basin of Cannon Mountain!

Engagement photos are a great way to work with your photographer before your wedding day, and get used to that feeling of having a camera around you all day! Sometimes it really takes away the tension and anticipation of what having a camera around you will be like. It also gives you variety to what you may want to hang up in your home. Sometimes you would like photos of the two of you but not just in wedding attire. And if you really want to make your engagement experience better, why not try somewhere new? Maybe an amazing mountain view, get outside after a snowstorm, or like Tory and Caitlin, if you see an amazing place like the Ice Castles LET'S GO! I am really not that scary and I am all for trekking through the woods or hiking around!
